The Willmar Police Department is still looking for tips regarding the January 15th shooting death of David Delfosse of Willmar. Delfosse was working in his garage the night of Friday, January 15th, when a bullet pierced the wall and hit him in the chest, killing him.

Police Chief Jim Felt says investigators are working with the MN BCA for analysis of multiple pieces of physical evidence retrieved by the BCA Crime Scene Team, local investigators and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office. Felt doesn’t think someone purposely targetted Delfosse, and that it was an “errant bullet”.

Felt says locally, officers and detectives have been continuing interviews and are also analyzing multiple electronic devices for information on the case. Any info on this case can be given to police by phone at 235-2244, email ([email protected]) or even anonymously at MN CrimeStoppers (www.crimestoppersmn.org)
