A Sacred Heart woman was injured when her car was hit by a vehicle driven by a 17 year old boy on Wednesday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 5 p.m. on March 24, a 2007 Mazda driven by Anna Marie Posch, age 26, of Sacred Heart, slowed to make a left turn onto a driveway on Highway 212. As the vehicle was about to turn, a 2015 GMC Yukon driven by a 17 year old boy came along at highway speed and rear ended the Mazda, spinning the Mazda around into the driveway.

Posch was taken to the Granite Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The teen and a 14 year old female passenger were not injured. The Yellow Medicine and Renville Sheriff’s Offices, and Granite Falls Police, Fire, and Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
