Rural Halloway senior citizens injured in Kandiyohi County collision Monday

Two rural Halloway senior citizens were injured in a Kandiyohi County collision Monday afternoon.
On Nov. 1, at about 4:43 pm. the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s office, Nicolas Gramstad, age 38 of Spicer, was driving a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado on County Road 23.  At the same time, Richard Giese, age 82, of rural Halloway, was driving a southbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado  on County Road 9.
Deputies learned that Giese proceeded into the intersection and failed to yield to Gramstad. Geise and his passenger, Marlys Giese age 80 of Rural Halloway, were transported to Centracare Hospital for their injuries.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New London Ambulance, Centracare Ambulance, New London Fire Department, Kandiyohi Rescue Squad and Lakes Area Rural Responders.
