A Robbinsdale man, Parker Jeremy Hansford, age 23, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony receiving of stolen property this month.

According to court documents, on May 13 of last year, a Redwood Falls police officer observed an unoccupied 1994 Chevy Silverado — black, with white hood and tailgate — parked in front of a residence, with a missing front license plate. The officer checked, and learned the vehicle had been reported stolen two days earlier in St. Joseph.

The officer also noted a Kawasaki motorcycle with a missing licence plate, which had been reported stolen earlier that day. Nearby was a utility trailer that had been reported stolen near Coon Rapids several days earlier.

The police officer spoke with the owner of the residence, and was told Parker Jeremy Hansford had arrived at the residence two days earlier with the truck, trailer, and two vehicles. On being questioned by police, Hansford stated he had bought the vehicles from a Twin Cities man who he didn’t have a phone number from. Hansford stated he contacted the previous owner through his cousin, Brandon, whose last name he couldn’t remember.

When placed under arrest, Hansford’s wallet contained a $100 counterfeit bill, and numerous bank cards with a variety of names.

On June 6, Parker Jeremy Hansford was sentenced to 12 months, one day in the correctional facility in St. Cloud, stayed for three years, 60 days local confinement, payment of restitution, and $360 in fees and fines.
