Until further notice, the Renville County Recorder’s Office will be open to the public by pre-scheduled appointments only.  Appointments can be made Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by contacting Laurie Abrahamson, Renville County Recorder, at 320-523-3630 or [email protected].

Beginning Tuesday, July 13, the processing of passports will temporarily move from the Recorder’s Office to the Human Service Office.  To get your passport Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., you may visit the front desk of the Human Service Office, located in the Government Services Center at 105 South 5th Street, Suite 203H in Olivia, Minnesota.  Appointments are encouraged by calling 320-523-2202, but walk-ins will be accepted.

The Recorder’s Office assists customers with printing birth, death and marriage certificates, processing marriage licenses, recording documents, plats, military discharges, notary commissions, and state and federal tax liens, filing hospital liens, updating Torrens certificates, and genealogy.
