Renville County is holding a Pesticide Container Collection on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.  This FREE collection will take place at the Renville County Landfill, located at 32877 County Road 4, Olivia, Minnesota.

Renville County will only accept 250 jugs or less without an appointment.  If you plan to dispose of more than 250 jugs, please call Seth Sparks, Drainage Systems Manager at 320-523-3759 to schedule an appointment.   

Follow these guidelines before bringing your jugs:

Containers: Only rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) are accepted

Size: Small up to 55-gallon drums accepted

Clean: Triple rinse the jugs to remove all residue and allow to dry

Twine/Bags: (Optional) Jugs can be tied together with twine or bagged

Stains: Certain products discolor plastic and will be accepted provided no material can be smeared with a plastic glove

Label: Labels and booklets must be removed

Caps: Caps and foil seals must be removed

** Containers that do not meet these guidelines will be rejected

Reminder:  Chemical containers can, and should, be returned to retailers for recycling.  Contact your retailer for more details.
