Renville County HRA/EDA Childcare Forgivable Loan Program supports providers

The Renville County Board of Commissioners has allocated $125,000 of  American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds toward supporting and retaining childcare providers in  Renville County.

With these funds, the HRA/EDA was able to provide forgivable loans to Renville County’s  in-home providers and daycare centers, with a focus on retaining the county’s childcare network.  

The HRA/EDA offers a year-round forgivable loan program to assist with the creation of new, and  expansion of existing, childcare providers in Renville County. Forgivable loans of up to $5,000 are  available for in-home providers, and up to $10,000 for centers. Loans are for five years, with 20% of  the loan being forgiven for each year in operation after receiving the loan.
