The Redwood County Economic Development Authority is teaming up with Kandiyohi, Renville, Swift and Meeker Counties to host a virtual career fair for the third time. This year’s will be on May 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, May 19. The virtual career fair is being set up for both employers looking for new staff, and for those seeking employment.

Registered employers can attend the live event and interact online with job seekers by collecting resumes, and conducting interviews. There is a $50 registration fee to participate, and will give access to view registrants the day before for recruitment purposes and schedule virtual interviews.

The West Central Minnesota Virtual Career Fair is also available to those seeking employment. During the virtual career fair job seekers create a profile and virtually visit employers. Upload a resume, add a profile picture and even record a video to answer general interview questions for employers to review.

The goal of sponsoring this Career Fair is to provide county businesses another method to engage with prospective employees to meet their workforce needs.

“The Redwood County EDA is proud to partner alongside Kandiyohi, Renville, Swift and Meeker counties, along with Ridgewater College to pool our resources to make this a successful career fair,” said Briana Mumme, Redwood County Economic Development Coordinator.  “A robust marketing campaign has been developed to target those within the region and expect this to be a well-attended fair!”
