Redwood Falls, Willmar women injured in Redwood County collision Tuesday

Women from Redwood Falls and Willmar were injured in a Redwood County collision Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Oct. 10 Rachel Catherine Johnson, age 33, of Willmar, was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse northbound on Highway 71. Valery Natalie Simning, age 31, of Redwood Falls, was driving a 2016 Subaru Outback southbound on Highway 71. At the intersection with Highway 19, the vehicles collided.

Johnson and Simning were both transported to CentraCare Redwood with non life-threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Morton Fire Department, Redwood Falls ambulance, and Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
