Redwood Falls man sentenced for possessing illegal psychedelic mushrooms

A Redwood Falls man, Alexander Fabian Del Grosso, age 21, was sentenced for felony drug possession after a Dec. 2022 incident.

According to court documents, on Dec. 29 of last year, a Redwood Falls deputy responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of Highways 24 and 67. While the deputy was speaking with the driver, and with the passenger, Del Grosso, another deputy reported the scent of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and Del Grosso were asked to leave the vehicle, and the vehicle was searched.

During the search, Del Grosso admitted he had psychedelic mushrooms in his lower left pant leg. Del Grosso removed a baggie which held .30 grams of mushroom.

On Oct. 30, Del Grosso was sentenced to 15 days local confinement, two years supervised probation, and $200 in fines and fees.
