Redwood Falls man sentenced for felony domestic assault by strangulation

A Redwood Falls man, Lino Todd Brothers, age 50, has been sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level domestic assault.

According to court records, on June 1 of last year, an alleged victim showed up at the Redwood County Law Enforcement Center to report an assault that had occurred the evening before. Officers noted bruising and swelling around her right eye. She stated earlier that day Brothers had put his hands on her neck and choked her.

The victim also claimed Brothers  would not let her leave her residence, and had assaulted a minor resident of the home.

Brothers was found guilty of felony domestic assault by strangulation, and sentenced to 15 months in the correctional facility in St. Cloud, stayed for three years, supervised probation for three years, and fines and fees of $635.
