A Redwood Falls man was found guilty in Redwood County Court last week of assaulting and strangling a juvenile last January.

According to a statement heard in court, on Jan. 10 of this year, a Redwood Falls Police Officer was called to a home to investigate a reported domestic occuring. As the officer arrived he saw several individuals leaving the house, including Wesley LeMar Andreasen, age 18, and a juvenile male.

The juvenile told the officer he had been assaulted by Wesley Andreasen. The two had been dog-walking on Fallwood Road, and gotten into an argument. Andreasen chased the juvenile back to Andreasen’s home, and assaulted him in the front yard. The juvenile claimed he told Andreasen several times he could not breathe, but was finally able to free himself.

On March 9, Andreasen was sentenced to 29 days in the Redwood County jail with credit for 29 days served time, and to supervised probation for three years.
