REDWOOD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (News Release)

On August 31st,  2024

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of a single vehicle accident on CSAH 1 north of 270th Street. Upon arrival it appeared that the vehicle had left the roadway and entered the ditch where it struck a field approach and utility pole. The
driver of the vehicle, identified as Richard Gewerth of rural Morton, MN, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Assisting on scene were the MN State Patrol and Centra Care Ambulance.
