Redwood County seeks public input for upcoming County State Aid Highway 2 reconstruction project

The Redwood County Highway Department has started planning efforts to reconstruct County State Aide Highway (CSAH) 2 from CSAH 11 to 305th Street. 

However, whether the project goes through or not depends on the county receiving federal funds.  To be eligible for federal funding, the project must consider safety, environmental sustainability, quality of life, mobility and connectivity, economic competitiveness and opportunity, state of good repair, partnership and collaboration, innovation, environmental risk and cost-benefits.

The Highway Department is pursuing federal funding to support the project, and is looking for input from residents, property owners and commuters.  To collect ideas, the Redwood County Highway Department is seeking responses to a brief survey at https://redwoodcounty-mn.us/csah-2-project/.  The survey will close on December 1.

In addition to the survey, an in person, public open house will be hosted on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm at the Redwood County Highway Department located at 1820 East Bridge Street, Redwood Falls. Please note there will be no formal presentation, so attendees may arrive at any time between 4 and 7 pm to learn more and provide comment.
