When the 43 precincts within Redwood County finished their final results as of Tuesday at about 11 p.m., the county selections aligned with the statewide selections pretty closely.

U.S. Senator: Jason Lewis won 71 percent of the Republican vote, with 652 votes in Redwood County, and 78 percent of the statewide vote. On the Democratic side, Tina Smith won Redwood County with 84 percent with 343 votes, and 87 percent of the state Democratic vote.

U.S. Representative District 7: Michelle Fischbach won 66 percent of the Republican vote, with 636 votes in Redwood County to win 59 percent of the statewide vote. Current Representative Collin Peterson won 263 votes, for 65 percent of the Democratic vote in the county, and 75 percent of the statewide vote.

State Senator District 22: representing only six precincts out of 43 in Redwood County, Republican Bill Weber ran unopposed, winning 100 percent of his available votes both in the county and statewide. Democrat Shawna Marshall received 82 percent of the Democratic vote in Redwood County, and 75 percent of the state vote.

State Representative District 16B: out of 31 precincts in Redwood County, Paul Torkelson won 56 percent of the vote with 429 ballots for 78 percent of the district-wide vote. Tammy Houle receiving 43 percent and 335 ballots in Redwood County, for 21 percent of the total. Democrat Mindy Kimmel won 291, or 100 percent of the vote since she ran unopposed.
