Businesses in Redwood and Brown Counties continue to be hurt by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and both counties have set up another round of grant relief programs for affected businesses.

On December 16, 2020 Minnesota Governor Walz signed into law a $216 million package of direct support for businesses and extension of unemployment benefits. Redwood County received $300,059.09, while Brown County will be receiving approximately $483,645.00  to grant to businesses and nonprofits.

The Redwood County Economic Development Authority is administering a Redwood County Pandemic Business Grant Program to businesses and non-profit physically located in Redwood County.  Eligible businesses may apply for an award up to $10,000. Redwood County’s applications will open February 1, and close at 4 pm on February 19. Those interested are encouraged to review Redwood County Pandemic Business Grant program guidelines and apply at https://apply.redwoodcounty-mn.us.
