At the Redwood Area School District School Board Meeting Monday, it was decided that students in Grades 7-12 will start in a Hybrid Model. This means students will report to school on alternating days with online instruction on the opposite days. If the numbers remain low and the district continues to meet the state’s guidance for In-Person Learning, the district will assess and plan to move to that model on October 5.

Students will be divided into two groups: “Hybrid A”, and “Hybrid B”. Hybrid A students will start school on September 8. Hybrid B will start school on September 9. Students will receive Chromebooks on their first day of school, so Hybrid B students do not need to login until September 9. The district says the days will work out over the course of the year, so Hybrid A students should not feel like they are being punished for having to start a day before Hybrid B.

Distance Learning, for those electing to do so, will be different from last year, in that students will be required to report to school virtually at their scheduled class times. For example, students would report to P1 classes at 8:20 a.m., but do so virtually on their Chromebooks.
