The Redwood Area Food Shelf is currently taking part in the 43rd annual Minnesota Food Share March Campaign. Until April 6, all donations received during this time allow the Redwood Area Food Shelf to nearly double its impact.

This year, the Food Shelf’s goal is to exceed last year’s contribution, and has set a goal of $25,000 and 300 pounds of food collected.

“We know food insecurity is real and the Redwood Area Food Shelf is here to provide emergency food supply to those in need” said Coordinator Cindy Mumme.  “The March Campaign is our largest fundraiser and we are grateful for any and all donations.”

Individuals, civic groups and businesses interested in participating in the March Campaign are encouraged to until April 6.  Monetary donations can be mailed to the Food Shelf at 500 East Bridge Street #5, Redwood Falls MN 56283. Special arrangements can be made by contacting Cindy Mumme, Coordinator at (507) 627-3653 or [email protected].

To date, Minnesota Food Share has distributed over $18.5 million to March Campaign participating food shelves via the Food Fund. The Campaign brings together organizations, businesses, faith communities and individuals to keep 300 food shelves statewide stocked throughout the year.
