In his first visit to Minnesota since becoming president, Joe Biden will come to Rosemount on Tuesday, Nov. 30, to promote the $1.2 trillion-dollar infrastructure package he has signed into law.

The infrastructure plan is claimed to offer $6.8 billion in federal grants to Minnesota, including $4.5 billion for transportation, $302 million for bridges, $818 million for public transit, $100 million for broadband access, and $68 million for electric vehicle charging stations, among other categories.

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar joined all of Minnesota’s four Republican members of the House to vote against the infrastructure bill. Three of Minnesota’s House Democrats, as well as its two senators, both Democrats, voted in favor of it.
