Two people were arrested Thursday in Spicer after a report of a possible drug overdose.

On Dec. 8, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible drug overdose involving a THC laced brownie at a residence near Atwater. Investigators with a search warrant went to an apartment in Spicer, and found a 24 year old male fugitive wanted by the MN Department of Corrections. He was arrested along with a 23 year old female who also resides at the residence.
While searching the residence, CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force Agents found about a half ounce of methamphetamine, 5 ½ pounds of marijuana, 12 ounces of marijuana wax/Butane Hash Oil, and a cake pan containing about one and three-quarter pounds of THC laced brownies.
Agents also found items consistent with drug sales, including digital scales and packaging material as well as a handgun and a large amount of cash. The two individuals arrested are currently in the Kandiyohi County jail on numerous drug and firearm related charges.
The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force worked in cooperation with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the Kandi-Meeker SWAT Team on this case.
