Police release names of fatal accident victims in Willmar

A woman was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Willmar Wednesday afternoon.

Willmar Police say it happened at 3:28 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and 5th Street Southwest, near the Napa Auto Parts store. A car driven by 21-year-old Sarah Ann Johnson was traveling on 5th Street and entered the intersection with 19th Avenue, where it collided with a car driven by 49-year-old Cindy Sue Mulder of Willmar. Mulder wasn’t injured, but Johnson was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center. Her current condition is unknown.

Johnson’s passenger, 46-year-old Tracy Lou Cipriani-Johnson of Willmar was taken to Rice where she died shortly afterward.
