One injured in tractor / semi-truck collision in Lyon County Tuesday

A Lichfield man was injured when a semi-truck collided with a tractor towing a manure spreader in Lyon County Tuesday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 26, Carter Allen Buchert, age 19, of Russell, was driving the tractor partially on the right shoulder of Highway 23 / Highway 91 in Lyon County. At about 9:47 p.m., a Freightliner semi-truck driven by Steven Allen Joramo, age 65, of Litchfield, came up from behind and collided with the manure spreader.

Joramo was transported to the hospital in Marshall with non-life threatening injuries. The Russell, Balaton, and Marshall fire departments, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and North Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
