An Olivia man, Bradley Westphal, age 38, was sentenced in Renville County Court Tuesday to five years in prison for selling a woman drugs that killed her. On July 19, 2021, Wesphal sold Connie Havens, age 56, of Olivia, pills that were supposedly Percocet, but instead contained lethal amounts of fentanyl.

In his first statement to law enforcement, Westphal stated that Havens had brought the pills to the residence herself. However, at the plea hearing he acknowledged providing her with the pills himself. On Feb. 27, Wesphal pleaded guilty to 3rd degree murder.
