A New London woman was airlifted after being injured in a golf cart accident early Sunday morning.

On Sept. 17, at about 12:04 a.m, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an accident involving a golf cart on which the victim had suffered injuries. Deputies were led about 400 yards into a field east of 85th Street NE and found an adult female, Erica Fredeen, age 35 of New London, suffering from serious non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators learned Fredeen was riding on the back of a Yamaha EFI QuieTech golf cart and fell off when the golf cart was navigating a trail. The driver of the golf cart, Joshua Fredeen, age 39 of New London, was uninjured along with passengers, Derek Noor, age 35 of Spicer, and Megan Noor, age 32 of Spicer.
Erica Fredeen was transported by Life Link Air Ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the case is under investigation.
Assisting the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was New London Ambulance, CentraCare Ambulance, New London Fire Department, Life Link Air Ambulance, Spicer First Responders, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
