A New London woman died of what is suspected to be a drug overdose last Saturday

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, at about 10:43 p.m. on Saturday, April 16th, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an unconscious 19 year old female at a residence along the 20100 block of Hwy 9 NE, near New London, MN.

Emergency medical services were also dispatched and the female was later determined to be deceased.
An investigation into the death was started with a possible cause of the death being related to the overdose from a suspected illegal narcotic. The deceased was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Ramsey, MN.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Lakes Area Rural Responders, New London Ambulance, Centra Care Ambulance Service, and the Cee-VI Drug and Gang Task Force.
This case remains under investigation and the name of the victim will be released at a later time.
