The Minnesota Department of Health on Monday reported 717 more cases, bringing the state’s pandemic total now to 70,298. Of that number, 63,059 have recovered.

There were 4 more deaths reported, putting the state’s death toll at 1771. As of Monday, 310 are hospitalized, with 135 in the Intensive Care.

Renville County reported it’s 6th COVID-19-related death over the weekend, a person in his or her 70s who had been hospitalized for an extended period. However, no new cases were reported in Renville County.

Kandiyohi County reported eight new cases, bringing its total to 771, with one death. Brown County now reports 110 cases, with two deaths, while Lyon County reports 445 cases with three deaths. McLeod County reports 307 cases with one death, while Watonwon reports 404 cases with three deaths. Yellow Medicine County has 66 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with one death.

Southwestern Minnesota counties reporting no deaths include Redwood, with 47 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Cottonwood, which now officially has 194 coronavirus cases, and Lac qui Parle currently has 13 cases.
