Kandiyohi County ID’s man who died in grain bin collapse Thursday

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office has identified the rural Lake Lillian resident who died in a grain bin collapse last Thursday as Ryan Erickson, age 63.

On May 12, at about 7 p.m., Kandiyohi County rescue workers were called to a farm site on the 17000 block of 45th St. SE, Lake Lillian, about a missing adult male in the area of where a large grain bin had just blown over by storms in the area.

Emergency responders searched, and found Ryan Erickson deceased under the collapsed grain bin.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Blomkest Fire Department, Lake Lillian Ambulance, Willmar Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Kandiyohi County Emergency Management and the Atwater Police Department.
