Motorcyclist airlifted after Redwood County crash Sunday evening

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in a Redwood County crash Sunday night.

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, on July 30 Duane Smith, 53, was airlifted from the crash scene after crashing his 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the intersection of County Road 11 and 280th Street at about 9 p.m.

Police say charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.

The Morgan Fire Department and Ambulance, North AirCare, and CentraCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
