Morris pleads not guilty to killing Bird Island teen

An Olivia man has pleaded not guilty to the stabbing death of a 13 year old boy earlier this year.

According to KWLM, Houston Morris, age 38, of Olivia, pleaded not guilty to Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder for allegedly stabbing 13-year-old Isaac Hoff of Bird Island to death. Morris is also accused of trying to kill the boy’s mother March 24th.

An omnibus hearing took place before Judge Laurence Stratton. Morris remains in the Renville County Jail on half-a-million dollars bail. A settlement conference has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on August 29.
