Montevideo couple injured when their motorcycle collides with car

A Montevideo couple were injured Wednesday afternoon when their motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Chippewa County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 5:21 p.m. on Sept. 2, William Joseph Quillin, age 49, of Montevideo was riding a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 212. His passenger was Melissa Rae Quillin, age 49, of Montevideo.

Near the intersection of Highway 59, the motorcycle collided with a 2013 Chevy Equinox being driven by Kathleen Marie Brandsted, age 69, of Montevideo.

The Quillins were both transferred to the Montevideo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office and Montevideo Police Department assisted on the scene.
