A Minneapolis man was seriously injured Wednesday after his paraglider crashed in Kandiyohi County.
On June 22, at about 12:20 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a paraglider who had crashed near the intersection of 225th Avenue SE and 180th Street in southern Kandiyohi County.
Law enforcement found  59 year old male from Minneapolis who had been operating the paraglider. He had just began his ascent when the paraglider was affected by the wind, and crashed to the ground.
The pilot sustained serious injuries from the crash and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were Lake Lillian Fire Department, Lake Lillian Ambulance, Centra-Care Ambulance, the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad and Life Link Air Ambulance.
