Memorial service for school bus driver Jeannie Waltz set for Saturday

A Memorial Service for 48-year-old Jeannie Waltz of Clara City will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Bethany Reformed Church. Interment will take place in the Spring.

Waltz was the driver for Palmer Bus Service who died after bringing the MACCRAY Girls Basketball Team to a game against RTR January 18th.  An autopsy has been performed by The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Tyler Police Chief John Spindler says a cause of death has not been announced.

MACCRAY Superintendent Sheri Broderius says Waltz worked for the bus company since 2018, and before that she was a para-professional at MACCRAY and had a photography business. Waltz also has a child who is a student at MACCRAY.
