A Marshall woman was injured when her vehicle slid off icy roads and rolled on Sunday evening.

On Dec. 26, at 9:36 p.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle rollover crash on Hwy 71 and County Road 15, about one mile north of Morton in Beaver Falls Township

Responders found the vehicle on its roof in the ditch with the driver still inside. The driver, Maryan Ali, age 19, of Marshall, was extricated from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Carris Health in Redwood Falls where she was treated for her injuries.

At the time of the crash the road was covered in ice and snow. Ali told deputies that while traveling south on Hwy 71 she began to lose control of the vehicle. She went towards the right ditch and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the road. The vehicle went into the left ditch, struck an embankment, and rolled onto its roof.

This crash remain under investigation. Assisting on the scene were the Morton Medical Response Unit, Morton Fire and Rescue, and CentraCare Ambulance- Redwood Falls.
