Mankato man injured in van / semi-truck collision near Madelia

A Mankato man, Adrian Michael Freed, 22, was injured when a van and a semi collided in Watonwan County Tuesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 8:28 a.m. on Aug. 15, the van and the semi were both northbound on Highway 15 when the vehicles collided at the intersection with Watonwan County Road 3.

Freed was transported to Madelia Health with non-life threatening injuries following the crash. The semi driver, Donald Charles Kuchenbecker, 71, of Blue Earth, was not injured.
