Man injured in Kandiyohi County UTV rollover near Spicer Saturday evening

A man was injured in Kandiyohi County UTV rollover Saturday evening.

On July 29, at about 8:35 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office learned of a UTV rollover with injuries near Spicer.

Emergency crews found a 2022 Can-Am UTV in the south ditch at 132nd Ave. NE, partially in the slough. The driver, Eric Thein, age 51, suffered multiple injuries. he was transported to Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar by the New London Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and the crash is still under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the New London Ambulance, Lakes Area Responders, Spicer First Responders, Spicer Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, and CentraCare Ambulance.
