Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Redwood County (UPDATED)

A Morton man injured by gunfire in Redwood County Sunday was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Austin Beran, age 22, of Morton. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence south of Belview at 12:30 a.m. for a report of a gunshot victim. Deputies found Beran with a single gunshot wound, and provided life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived on the scene.

Beran remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.  The investigation into the shooting remains active, and ongoing.  The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office states no additional information is available at this time.
