An Annandale man was airlifted to a metro area hospital after an apparent rollover crash near Winthrop Friday night.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. to the single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Co Rd 4 and 246th St, about five miles northeast of Winthrop.

Tyler Hansen, 27, was driving a vehicle that is believed to have rolled multiple times, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.  Hansen was extracted from the vehicle and was later airlifted to a metro area hospital, according to the release.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.

The Winthrop Fire Department and Winthrop Ambulance crew assisted at the scene.
