One man was injured in a three-car collision near Granite Falls on Thursday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 6 Matthew Allen Beek, age 31, of Lake Wilson, was driving a Ford Focus southbound on Highway 23. At the same time, Preston Eddie Yohnke, age 20, of Carlos, was driving a Chevrolet Impala northbound.

At about 8:32 p.m., near the intersection with 240th Street, Beek’s and Yohnke’s vehicles collided and came to rest in the ditch. A northbound Chevrolet Malibu driven by Agg Moo That, age 24, of Willmar, struck some debris from the collision.

Yohnke was taken to the hospital in Granite Falls with non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, and the Granite Falls Police and Fire Departments, and ambulance.
