As of this Tuesday, May 24, the firm handling the Lake Redwood dredging project, JF Brennan Company, Inc. reports 120,000 cubic yards of sediment removed from Lake Redwood.

This amount is 18 percent toward the 650,000 cubic yard goal. The Michael B. dredge continues its work near the dam, and will begin moving in a southerly direction towards the next island over the next month.

With the Memorial Day holiday weekend ahead, the JF Brennan crew will be taking a few days off to honor those who have served . The Michael B. will rest from 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31.

The RCRCA suggests if you meet up with any of the JF Brennan crew members making Redwood Falls their home for the next several months, please take a moment to thank them for their contributions to restoring the lake.
