Lake Lillian man accidentally killed by firearm Tuesday evening

A Lake Lillian man was accidentally killed by a firearm Tuesday evening.
According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, April 26, at about 8:34 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 report of a gunshot victim at a residence in Lake Lillian, on the 10000 block of 165th Avenue SE.
The caller reported the firearm discharged accidentally, striking a 64 year old male in the head, and killing him.
The identity of the victim will be released at a later time.
This case remains under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.Assisting as the scene were the Lake Lillian Ambulance and CentraCare Ambulance.
