KLGR-Area Residents Urged to Provide Input into Region’s Economic Development Plan
The Mid-Minnesota Development Commission (MMDC) is urging all residents of Renville, Kandiyohi, McLeod, and Meeker Counties to participate in the development of the region’s new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. This plan will be used as a “road map” to guide economic development work for the next five years. It will also ensure continued access to federal Economic Development Administration dollars for our region.
Public engagement sessions will be held during the month of August. These sessions are expected to last about an hour and will provide an opportunity for attendees to identify regional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Those in attendance can also share ideas and provide input on issues such as broadband access, housing, childcare, transportation, and workforce.
Dates and locations include:
- Tuesday, August 3: Renville County Government Services Building
(105 South 5th Street, Olivia, MN 56277)
- Tuesday, August 10: Hutchinson Event Center
(1005 Highway 15 South, Hutchinson, MN 55350)
