Kandiyohi County Board approves moving forward on jail expansion, remodel project
Kandiyohi County is moving forward on a jail expansion and remodeling project.
It will involve enlarging the booking area, adding holding cells and improving the sally port, where police unload prisoners from their vehicles. The estimated cost of the project is about 2.6 million dollars.
The county board has given the go-ahead to advertise for bids which will be opened in July.
