Kandiyohi County approves sale of former recycling center building

The Kandiyohi County Board Tuesday vote to sell the former Recycling Center. The building across the street from Taunton Stadium in Willmar has been unused, and most of the equipment removed, since the county went to county-wide single-sort mixed recycling three years ago.

According to KWLM, Kandiyohi County Environmental Services Director Gary Geer recommended the county accept the high bid of $552 thousand to Williamson Properties LLC .

At this point it is unknown what Williamson’s plans are for the building.
