Juvenile female struck by pickup near Vesta Tuesday afternoon

A juvenile female was struck by a pickup near Vesta on Tuesday afternoon.

At about 4:34 p.m., the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV accident on Evergreen Ave., north of Vesta.

Investigation showed a 2008 Honda four-wheeler driven by a juvenile female was traveling north on Evergreen Ave. on the shoulder of the road. Also traveling north was a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Brandon Stage, age 29. As Stage passed the four-wheeler, it turned onto the road and struck the pickup.

The juvenile female was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Carris Ambulance.

The Vesta first responders and Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene.
