An Iowa woman was injured in a collision with road construction equipment in Kandiyohi County Wednesday morning.
On June 21, at about 11:30 a.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries involving a road grader at the intersection of 15th Avenue SE and County Road 4.
Deputies determined the driver of a 2020 Honda SUV, Mary Crowley, age 62, of Walford, Iowa, was injured from the crash. The road grader was driven by Kirk Elton, 46 year-old from Kandiyohi, who was unharmed.
Investigators determined Crowley had failed to yield for the stop sign at the intersection and collided with Elton. Crowley suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries from the crash and was taken by North Air Care Air Ambulance for treatment.
Assisting the Sheriffs Office were Atwater Ambulance, Atwater Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, CentraCare EMS, North Air Care Air Ambulance, Minnesota DNR and the Minnesota State Patrol.
