A Hutchinson woman led Renville County law enforcement on a high speed chase near Olivia Friday morning.

On Friday, May 29, at 11:23 a.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a traffic complaint about a white, four-door SUV traveling westward on Highway 212, entering Renville County at high speed and passing vehicles in an unsafe manner.

At 11:32 a.m. a deputy observed a white SUV on Highway 212 near 440th Street; according to radar the SUV was going over 100 mph. The deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the SUV continued west at high speed. Deputies followed as the vehicle drove north and west on gravel roads.

Finally, deputies deployed a tire deflation device, causing damage to several of the vehicles tires. The SUV continued southward on County Road 14 towards Olivia. After crossing US Hwy 212, the vehicle stopped on 350th Street, south of Olivia.

The driver, Jazzmyn Sauceda, age 26, of Hutchinson was taken into custody and booked into the Renville County Jail for fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and other charges.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Olivia Police Department.
