A Hector woman was injured when her motorcycle collided with a semi on Tuesday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on June 15 Tammy Hean Kielty, age 59, of Hector, was northbound on Highway 4 in Renville County. At about 4:32 p.m., Kielty attempted to pass a northbound 2012 Kenworth semi-truck being driven by Nurdin Abdi Mohamed, age 45, of Minneapolis, and the vehicle collided.

Kielty was taken to the Hutchinson hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Hector Ambulance assisted at the scene.
