Hector murder suspect to appear in court next week

A court date of May 13 has been set for a Hector woman accused of shooting her boyfriend to death April 16th.

Elizabeth Lynch, age 35, is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and 2nd Degree Manslaughter for the death of 42-year-old Anthony Tebben at the home the couple shared in Hector. According to the criminal complaint, Lynch claims she accidentally shot Tebben in the head with a newly purchased handgun after he threw a plate at her.

Lynch is being held on $500,000 bail and will appear for a status conference on her case in Renville County District Court next Wednesday, during which they will discuss things like future court and jury trial dates.
