A Granite Falls resident was injured when the vehicle she was riding in rolled off an icy road near Thief River Falls Saturday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 2:38 p.m. on Dec. 18, Joshua Paul Hoernemann, age 23, of Granite Falls, was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer on Highway 72. Near Thief River Falls, the Trailblazer slid off the road and rolled into the north ditch.

Hoernemann was not injured. His passenger, Johannah Holly Hayes, age 25, of Granite Falls, was transported to the Bemidji Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Blackduck Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
