A Granite Falls man was injured injured when his car went airborne in Yellow Medicine County Wednesday.

According to the state patrol, Shane Alan Nokleby, age 21, of Granite Falls, was eastbound on Highway 212 near mile post 46 at about 1:17 p.m. Nokleby’s Chevy Silverado ran off the road, hit a field approach, took to the air, and hit a power pole.

Nokleby, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported to the Granite Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Granite Falls Police Department, Ambulance, and Fire Department assisted at the scene.
